You mentioned the iron man equivalent for GW1 and the survivor achievement. There was actually a second teir of the achievement that required you to get something like 1 mill exp without dying (getting to level 20 was only 100kish).

The Zaihtan fight felt lackluster. I understand that Anet couldn't let us just sit there and wail on him with our normal weapons, but what about helping powerup a powerful lazer or something? Nope, closest we came to that was protecting a character while they did the work. The dungeon up to it was so hard because right before the large mouth and the 3 towers we had a member of the group leave, so we 4 manned it all the way up to the part where you fight 2 of the dragons at once. We were worried that if we kicked the offline person or added a new person we would have to restart the instance. But we did it anyways and nothing got through it.

Well Done! 4 manning dungeons isn't very easy, even the story mode.
