Tales of Tyria #38: Dungeons and Dragons

WE FINALLY HAVE IT!  A release date!  Only 7 more shows after this.  How can anyone stand it?  This week we talk a little news and then jump into a dicussion of Dungeons, including the Ascalonian Catacombs.  We rounded up a few people who have played the Story mode as well as the Explorable mode, and even convinced Freelancer to admit he'd begrudgingly played through it once.

Only 7 more shows after this.

I hope that just means 7 more shows until release rather than the less welcome "just 7 more episodes ever and then you'll have to find something else to listen to"?

wow the guy screaming about a release date in my ear during the intro was really unpleasant. I could not rip my headphones off fast enough. My ears hurt and I would have punched him in the face to make it stop had he been sitting in front of me. Didn't listen to rest of the show and not sure I'll listen to another, what an ass hat thing to do.

Binidi, I only meant that it was 7 more shows until release, not 7 more shows ever :)

Madman, I just re-listened to it myself. I didn't notice that it was significantly louder than the music that precedes it. That was the way I mixed it to begin with. I'm not sure why it sounded so much louder to your ears. My mixer even has a compressor to ensure that no matter how loud I yell it never gets above a certain volume level to prevent exactly what you're describing. I really am puzzled as to how that could have happened. Many other people enjoyed the opening bit, as I've had a lot of positive feedback from it.
