How u guys feel about the "possible" exotic "grind" and strange unbalance per race/profession/build combinations?

What i mean is that every profession/build has there personal "optimal" or most desired stat combination, like power/precision/crit dmg. Now if u are lucky u can "just" craft or use the cultural armor vendor to get your "desired" combination. If u are unlucky, u can now settle with just "rares", which have 13% lower stats or u can "settle" with having only 2 out of your 3 desired stats.

The problem i have is that this means, that because of your race and build choice, u either can get to your max. stat "endgame" pvp/pve set via the AH/crafting/vendor "easily" or u have to farm/grind WvWvW/ dungeon tokens the hard way.

I don't mind the fact that u have to grind for your max. stat gear, but it seems unfair/unbalanced to me that this depends on your race/build choice. Its even more strange that crafted exotics favor power as stat, which for my build is absolutely useless, so all crafted exotics are "undesirable" to me personally, while my Elementalist fried is happy, since his "dream" combination is actually available via crafting.

I would like to hear what u think about this "problem"?

bye Andy

That's a good discussion topic Andy! I'll work it into a future show.

The survival title was a pain because it was bugged for most. It would reset if you phased to another zone or into your personal story. I would have had it by level 30 but it kept reseting. Was so annoying.

I thought of a great idea for the Karma Weapons/Armour.

I understand why they don't want the market flooded with mats from relatively cheap karma items, but at the same time I agree with Kaeyi ... we spent time and effort into them, they should still hold *some* value. I got a greatsword only to have a MUCH better one drop almost immediately after ... so I essentially wasted that karma. And I agree with Bridger that it makes no sense to have them cost so much karma that by the time you can afford them, they aren't worth getting.

My idea is what if you could sell back unneeded items to the karma vendor you got them from for a bit of a loss ... say 75% (heck, even 50%) of the original value. Then the prices can go back down to a reasonable level; and the in-game market remains separated from the karma items.

I would love to tell ArenaNet this directly, but I have no recourse. :) Hopefully someone from there will see this comment, because I think it could work really well.

Sorry ... just to clear something up. You would sell for a percentage of your karma back ... not gold.

It could even be played up along the lines of: It is time for a new hero to benefit from this item.
